Leaving the scene of an accident is a crime, but unfortunately hit and runs still occur. It is important to know that if you were injured as a result of a hit and run driver that you can still seek justice for your property damage and/or injuries. Most hit and runs largely involve pedestrians and alcohol, but other hit and runs can include motorist to motorist contact. These types of accidents are more likely to occur when the driver has been drinking or is distracted, being negligent with traffic laws, or when drivers do not adjust for hazardous road conditions.
